SEEKING: In Confidence Development Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Development Intern to join our team. As a Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in researching potential grant opportunities, identifying potential investors, and establishing partnerships for In Confidence across New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the arts and events industry, with a keen interest in fundraising and development.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research on potential grant opportunities available to arts and theater organizations in New York City.
-Identify and compile a list of potential investors interested in supporting innovative and socially impactful projects within the arts and events sector.
-Collaborate with the team to develop compelling grant proposals and sponsorship packages.
-Assist in building and maintaining relationships with potential partners and sponsors.
-Stay updated on industry trends, funding opportunities, and potential collaborators.

If interested, will take the lead on planning and producing an In Confidence event/performance for Spring/Summer 2024.


Qualifications:
-
Enthusiasm for the arts, theater, event production, and start up culture.
-Strong research skills
-Great written and verbal communication skills.
-Strives for excellence, while having a sense of humor and perspective!
-Ability to work independently, and as part of a collaborative team.
-Familiarity with fundraising, grant writing, or development is a plus!

Requirements:
-
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from a relevant program (performing arts, arts management, business, communications, etc.). Or have relevant experience and interest!
-
Availability for 5-10 hours per week. If interested and schedule allows, assist with our events on weeknights and weekends.
-Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.

Compensation: School/Internship credit available. $100 monthly stipend.

Timeline: ASAP start to May/June 2024, with possibility to extend.
